Dr. P. S. Fathima, born on 03 October 1966 to Mr. Shadali P. M. and Mrs. Aysamma in Virajpet Taluk of Kodagu District, Karnataka, is a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator specializing in Agronomy. She completed her early education in Dakshina Kannada and Mangalore and pursued her B.Sc. (Agriculture) and M.Sc. (Agriculture) at the University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore. She further earned her Ph.D. from the University of Mysore, conducting research at CSR and TI, Mysore.

Dr. Fathima began her professional journey as a Junior Research Fellow at CSR and TI, Mysore, and later served as AAO (FW) in KSDA, Chamarajanagara. At the University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore, she has shouldered several key responsibilities, including Junior Agronomist, Farm Superintendent and Professor & Head, Department of Agronomy at the College of Agriculture, V.C. Farm, Mandya.

A committed teacher and researcher, she received the ICAR Best Teacher Award (2013) and has contributed over 50 research publications in reputed national and international journals. She currently serves as Dean (Agri.), CoA, Mandya, Principal, Diploma (Agri.), CoA, Mandya and Registrar at University of Agricultural Sciences, Mandya.
