Message from Comptroller of Examinations

Examinations are a formal means of evaluating a student’s academic performance, comprehension, and subject mastery. Typically held at the end of a course or academic term, they can take various formats written, oral, practical or digital. In higher education, examinations are structured tools used to assess a student’s knowledge, analytical skills and critical thinking within a specific discipline. They are a vital component of the academic framework in colleges and universities. While often met with a mix of anxiety and determination by students, examinations play a role far beyond generating grades. They fulfill important academic, developmental and institutional functions, solidifying their significance in the university education system. To support this critical function, the University Examination Centre was established in July 2025 at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Mandya. It was created to conduct a Centralized Common Examination across the university's four constituent colleges, ensuring consistency and academic integrity in the assessment process.
